Our testing standard

  1. Run it. A README is not a review. Projects must be installed or meaningfully exercised before receiving a field-test verdict.
  2. Cost it. Hardware, hosting, storage, electricity, migration and administration count.
  3. Break the pitch. Every review states what the paid product still does better.
  4. Update it. Material pricing, licensing or project-status changes are reflected in the article date.

Media and lawful use

NoSub Tech reviews media-server software, not methods of obtaining copyrighted material. Readers are responsible for storing and using only media they are legally authorized to access.

Corrections

Open-source projects move quickly. Articles clearly display their publication or update date, and material changes to pricing, licensing or project status will be corrected.
